Ride to Meriden 18th/19th May:
Is anyone interested in riding to the Cyclists War Memorial at Meriden (centre of England)? Is annual event that lots of clubs do, albeit more from Midlands. Meeting at memorial at 11am on Sun 19th (and think there is service after).
Was thinking could cycle to say 10 miles short (c.80 miles), stay over and roll in to Meriden for 11am, grab bite for lunch and then cycle back as little or as far as you felt you wanted to (as follows Chiltern Line).
You would need to carry on you/your bike min amount of clothes you need to eat/sleep in.
If interested can you text me asap so can check on hotel say near Kenilworth (c.£60 B&B each in twin) Rob Smith. 07932 065051

Highest scoring 3 will count if you’ve entered more. Points based on event length, age grouping placing, climbing achieved, difficulty and finally speed…. other factors may apply but a fast ride will not guarantee you the win..

Event 2 – Chiltern Valley Winery  ‪June 2‬

Suggested route 60 miles, 33 miles also available
Discount available: enter code “Beacon” for 15% off
Any questions just ask Gordon or myself.

Track Cycling at Lee Valley 1st June 2019

As a reminder I am now taking bookings (Alister)  for a club session on the 1st June. As usual this will be from 08:00-10:00. The session will cater for all levels of rider from beginner to accredited track riders.

As these sessions are becoming more and more popular if demand outstrips supply then I will on this occassion give priority to those that have not been before. If you have already booked, don’t worry your place is secure.

Dates to Hold in Your Diaries

Vintage Bike Ride Saturday 3rd August
There has been quite a lot of interest shown for a Vintage Bike Ride. There will be a short ride most likely to a local pub, where you can show off your Vintage cycle to other BCC members or anyone willing to listen….. It will be a flat route, so not to strain bikes or riders !

BCC Christmas Dinner Saturday 23rd November
Will be held at Huntswood Golf Club in Burnham
Where prizes will be given for the Club Championship
Tickets will go on sale soon !!
