Club News – Sep 20th

Hi All,

I wanted to catch you as close to Saturdays ride as possible to remind you all its an 8am start ! Don’t be…well…early….
Looks like Saturday is the day to ride, Sunday may be a bit showery.

Slight route change to avoid Kop Hill due to the car hill climb this weekend may mean the distances in the description are a bit off.
We’ve finished all our BCC Road Race events for the season, the numbers are being carefully calculated to determine the winners, stay tuned for details.

The hill climb was a great success, thank you to all 30 competitors who gave it their best shot ! Same place next year, so tons of time to train to get faster.
The BAR (Best All Rounder) competition just needs the final Berko 10 mile TT to be closed out next week. If you have done a 10 or 25 and want me to count it into the BAR calculations, please forward your times on to me.

Final road reminder..we operate a no drop policy on all rides, fast or slow. By all means go ahead on a hill or a fun section if all in your group is up for it, but make sure to regroup. Similarly, make sure that if someone falls behind for any other reason, that the front of the group or ride leader knows about it. The riders at the back of the group are the eyes for the front, it could be you !

Thanks, and safe riding
Gordon
